Greetings, Greg was the contestant on line 2 today with $260 in the jackpot. He received a repeat question; J.

Who are the slaves ...... and above all, by the individual bourgeois manufacturer himself.

The labourers.

I will be on vacation next week and will not be able to update the site. If someone would please leave comments so we can keep up, I would appreciate it.

Good luck everyone.

7/30 - Question F, Question N

Greetings everyone. First of all, thanks to Jeff for providing the question and answer from yesterday's game. I am glad Jeff gave us the info, because I had the answer written incorrectly (much like I had the answer to Question F incorrect).

Kem was the contestant today on the 4th line. He was playing for $250. Kem got the first question correct, which again, I had written incorrectly.

Question F: What is veiled by religious and political illusions and a substitute for naked, shameless, direct, and brutal exploitation?

Answer: Free Trade (confirmed as correct)

Question N: What happens to the laborer right after he is set upon by the manufacturer?

Answer: He is set upon by the other portions of the bourgeoisie, the landlord, the shopkeeper, the pawnbroker, etc.

Good luck everyone, $260 tomorrow.

-Until next time...

7/29 - No idea, damn iPhone

Well, I know Jeff was the contestant on line 2 and $240 was in the pot, but other than that, I don't know anything because my iPhone connection was lost right after he introduced himself. If anyone has the q/a from today's game, please leave a comment.

-Until next time...

7/28 - Question C, Question I, Question M

Seng was the contestant on line 4 today with $230 in the pot. His family escaped communism in Laos, so he may have had an advantage in the game, but after answering the first two questions correctly, he could not get the third.

Question C: Generally in the most advanced countries, what must happen to rest all property for the proletariate...bourgeoisie?

Answer: Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes

Question I: Generally in the most advanced countries, what must happen to all credit in order for the proletariate to wrestle all property from the bourgeoisie?

Anser: The centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

Question M: What epidemic of earlier epochs seemed absolutely absurd?

Answer: Over-production

$240 tomorrow, good luck everyone.

-Until next time...

7/27 - Question H, Question L

Good morning everyone. Matt was the contestant on line 3 today with $220 in the jackpot. He answered his first question correctly, but did not answer the second (a new question) correctly.

Question H: What does the Bourgeoisie mean by freedom?

Answer: This was different from the answer I had previously and while Matt gave a long resopnse, Brian indicated it included the "key phrase", "free trade, free selling and buying". So that's what we'll go with as the answer now.

Question L: What happens to the modern laborer since he doesn't rise with the modern process of industry?

Answer: He sinks deeper and deeper below the conditions of existence of his own class.

$230 tomorrow, good luck everyone.

-Until next time...

7/24- Question K

Question K: What distinguishes the Bourgeoise epoch from all earlier ones?

Answer: The constant revolutionizing of production

7/23 - Question G, Question A, Question J

Good morning everyone, Zach (formerly Ekk) was the contestant on line 4 today with $200 in the pot and answered some questions correctly for the first time and became a level 2 communist according to Brian. Unfortunately the run ended when the third question was new.

Question G: What is the real fruit of the workers battle?

Answer: The ever expanding union of the workers (confirmed)

Question A: Who has pitilessly torn asunder the motley feudal ties that bound man to his natural superiors?

Answer: The bourgeoisie (confirmed)

This last question I am wording the way it is written in the manifesto and not necessarioy the exact way Brian read it.

Question J: Who are the slaves of the bourgeois class, the bourgeois state, ... the bourgeois machine, and above all, by the individual bourgeois manufacturer himself?

Answer: The laborers

Again, I didn't save the link to the answer, so I apologize for that.

$210 tomorrow.

Good luck everyone.

-Until next time...

Updates

Good morning all. I have some updates from the past few days. Again, these questions are long and Brian reads them quickly, so I don't always get the exact wording, if someone has other information, please share.

Today, Douglas was the contestant on line 2 and the first question was a new one. Before we get to that, however, here's what happened the past few days:

7/20 - Dylan was on line 4 with $170 in the pot. His first question was new:

Question H: Waht does the Bourgeoisie mean by freedom?

Answer: The connection between personal freedom and property rights (sorry I don't have the link to the source anymore).

7/21 - Big Mike out of Dousman was the contestant on line 1 with $180 in the pot and his first question was a repeat, which he did not answer correctly:

Question F: What is veiled by religious and political illusions and is substituted for naked, shameless, direct brutal exploitation?

Answer: The Bourgeoisie

7/22 - Again, Douglas on line 2 with $190 in the pot. The first question was new and went something like this:

Question I: Generally in most advanced countries, what must happen to all credit in order for the proletariate to wrestle all property from the Bourgeoisie?

Answer: Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exlusive monopoly.

This is a pretty difficult round, so good luck everyone.

$200 tomorrow.

-Until next time...

Question F: What is veiled by religious and political illusions... substituted for naked and fruitless brutal exploitation?

Answer: The bourgeoisie

7/17 - Question C: Generally in the most advanced countries, what must happen to rest all property for the proletariate.....?

Answer: The abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes (confirmed as correct)

7/14 - Question D

Good morning everyone. Jeff was the contestant with $130 in the pot on line 4. Jeff was on his way to Merrill to enjoy some time at his parents cottage with his 2 young children. The first question asked was new and Jeff did not respond with a correct answer.

Question D: Generally in the most advanced countries, what must happen to income taxes to centralize all instruments of production into the hands of the state?

7/13 - Question C

Do yourself a favor and memorize the Communist Manifesto and you'll be set for this round.

I didn't get all of question C word for word, but hope I got enough to answer the question. Ben was trying to be quiet as the contestant on line 3 today with $120 in the pot. His first question was a new one and he did not have the correct answer.

Question C: Generally in the most advanced countries, what must happen to all property for teh proletariate ....... bourgeoisie? Clearly, I missed what happened at the end of that question, but I think I have enough for the answer.

Answer: There must be abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.

Yeah, it's going to be a fun round.

$140 tomorrow

Good luck everyone.

-Until next time...

7/10 - Question B

Good morning all. Our good friend Douglas was the (un)lucky contestant today on line 2. Always a pleasure to hear Douglas on the show, hopefully he will win this thing soon. $110 was on the line and of course the first question was new. I'm thinking if you have the Communist Manifesto memorized, you will do well in this round.

Question B: What happened to the weapons to which the bourgeoisie felled Feudalism to the ground?

Answer: They have turned against the bourgeoisie iteself. I know, I know, not a very sexy answer, but that's what I got from the link. If anyone finds anything else, let me know.

$120 on Monday, have a great weekend and good luck to everyone.

-Until next time...

7/9 - New Category, Question A

Good morning all. Apparently someone won yesterday, so now if anyone has the details, please share. Moving onto today, a new round started and wow, the first question was a doozy. I am thinking this round is going to be about communism and socialism just based on the first question and the fact Brian has been crying about it for what seems like forever, or at least since the third Monday in January.

Without further ado or commentary, here we go:

Dylan was the contestant on line 4 today for $100.

Question A: Who has pitilessly torn assunder the motley feudal ties that bound man to his natural superiors?

Answer: Well, this was written by Karl Marx, but it appears the subject in his writing appears to be The Bourgeoisie. So, I'm thinking the answer is The Bourgeoisie. Check out the link for yourself and let me know your thoughts.

$110 tomorrow

Good luck everyone
